CGI US Global Technology Operations (GTO) has an exciting opportunity for a senior Security Architect within our Enterprise Architecture team. This person will provide subject matter expertise on our suite of security tools, working in concert with our Governance, Risk, and Compliance team. A successful candidate for this position is a highly motivated individual, with a strong IT security background who excels at integrating, operating and deploying security technology and solutions including interacting with clients. The successful candidate is also self-starter who works effectively highly dynamic environment.


  • Satisfies information security requirements based upon the input from Governance, Risk and Compliance, customers, as well as personal domain knowledge of security toolsets and operational procedures.

  • Plans the design, coordination, development, implementation and evaluation of security tools for an organization.

  • Functions as a technical expert for general information assurance-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems.

  • Works to embed security architecture across the Enterprise Architecture team, mentoring non-security architects on best practices and a ‘built-in, not bolted-on’ security mindset.

  • Providing reference architectures that include security for public cloud and hybrid cloud deployments.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 8-10 years of related experience; or 5+ years of related experience and a Master’s degree.

  • Excellent knowledge and experience in security architecture design.

  • Domain knowledge of security tools; ideally from the Palo Alto (formerly Twistlock) family of products

  • Very experienced in using professional concepts to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

  • Public cloud IaaS experience.

  • Skilled in the ability to interpret business issues and recommend best practices of security architectures.

  • Skilled in the ability to works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

  • Exercises good judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.


  • Current Security+ is desired.

  • Current CISSP is desired.

  • Amazon Web Services EC2, S3, and Lambda experience.

  • Experience on projects similar to the size, scope, and complexity of the work and environment providing technical leadership for IT security and Service Delivery to multiple clients.

  • Understanding of Federal cybersecurity guidance such as NIST SP 800-53 (Rev. 4) Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations and NIST SP 800-190 Application Container Security Guide

Minimum Education Required: Masters Degree

Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or MIS, or a Bachelors degree in another field with 10+ years experience in IT and Security.
