Position Description:

CGI has an immediate need for a Ab Initio Developer to join our financial services team in one of our selected CGI locations. Due to the current COVID-19 status, candidates will not be required to work within the physical work location at this time. When COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, they will be required to be located within the proximity of the assigned CGI location.

Looking for a strong Ab Initio Developer, The key activity will be to upgrade code written in Ab Initio 2.0 to 4.0.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

This is a technical position requiring strong production support, design, development and implementation skills to support loan accounting applications releases and production support. The position involves L3 support and participating in implementing enhancements, resolution of production defects and to provide support to business partners and technical peers as needed.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 5+ years of relevant experience

• Develop and Unit Test Ab Initio Code

• Database Concepts (SQL, Joins, Normalization)

• Databases - Oracle

• Database performance & Tuning/ query optimization

​• Data quality enforcement/ practices/ concepts

• Develop /Update Unix shell scripts

• Designing processes that can extract/receive data from various heterogeneous source systems

• Perform data cleansing and transforming the data according to business rules

• Developing reusable frameworks for data extraction, loading and cleansing

• Designing and building change data capture processes and updating the DataMart accordingly

• Building capabilities to exchange the data with external partners in various formats (XML, CSV, Flat File, ..)

• CICD and Version Control Experience with Jenkins and GIT

• Prior experience with Agile Methodology and Dev Ops

• JIRA (or other similar)

• Confluence (or other similar)

• Experience upgrading from Ab Inito version 2
