Position Description:

CGI Federal is looking for a Technical Writer to join our winning team. You will work with a highly technical team focusing on integrating next generation cyber security technologies for a strategic federal customer. Activities include hands-on administration, implementation and configuration of security tools to enhance the risk posture of customer networks.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Edits, standardizes, or makes changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel in a DoD information systems development and integration environment

  • Confers with customer representatives, vendors, executives, or end users to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication

  • Prepares information technology and communication systems hardware technical implementation plans and designs

  • Documents integration processes and procedures

  • Organizes material and completes writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Two (2) years of technical experience in addition to technical writing and documentation

  • DoD 8570.01, Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level I certification (Network+, A+, etc.)

  • Active DoD security clearance; US Citizenship required

Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $52,000-$84,600*

Therefore, this good faith salary range will only apply where this described position will be performed in the state, and should not be considered the compensation range in other locations or for other positions.
