Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced developer to join our team. We work on several different projects that contain web and mobile components. Our projects are built on modern web and mobile development stacks and hosted in AWS. We are looking for someone who will bring new ideas and new perspectives to our team. Most of our team members are full-stack developers and work on gathering specifications, working with the databases, and developing back-end and front-end code.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

This position will support a rapidly growing business unit that develops new and enhances existing software solutions. These solutions are used internally by CGI and sold to external customers. Solutions are used in the U.S., Canada and Europe.

Working with a team of highly skilled and innovative full-stack application developers, these individuals will be responsible for full SDLC of web applications, which will include the following:

  • gather/discuss requirements with business analyst and other stakeholders

  • web application front and back-end design and development, including Unit and Integration Tests for new and existing modules

  • work collaboratively with team and clients in the implementation process, as well as provide technical support thereafter

  • develop/maintain required documentation for future reference

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

To be considered for this challenging and rewarding role, applicants must have a combination, but not all, of the following skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • possess strong application development skills in an Agile environment, coupled with knowledge of current technologies and trends

  • ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative software development environment

  • demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills

  • self-starter who owns work to completion with minimal direct supervision

  • minimum Bachelors and 5 years of experience as a software developer, developing Web Applications

  • proficient using .NET, C#, JavaScript

  • database experience with either SQL Server (T-SQL) or MySQL

  • solid experience with HTML, CSS, Web Services/APIs

  • experience with widely used frameworks such as Knockout, jQuery, Bootstrap, React, TypeScript

  • experience with source control systems, preferably Git/BitBucket

  • working knowledge of MVC/MVVM

  • degree in computer science/information technology, or equivalent experience

Desired:

  • possess excellent UI/UX design skills

  • knowledge of Domain Driven Design, Test Driven Design and CI/CD patterns

  • understanding of enterprise-level software architecture and security

  • preferred experience with AWS (Lambda, S3)

  • Experience with Node.js
