Position Description:
CGI is looking for a self-motivated UX UI Angular Tech Lead to join an established team supporting a core system for a large financial client in Cary, NC. The system has high visibility within the organization and is used by many prominent stakeholders. This role offers flexibility of joining a team utilizing Agile methodologies to deliver high quality software to our customers. You will also have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies on highly visible initiatives to highest level within the Organization.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-class UI
Provide architectural and technical direction to UI engineering teams.
Conduct design and code reviews with a focus on architectural principles.
Build POCs to demonstrate solutions.
Support developers in implementing architectural suggestions and guidelines.
Innovate in adopting new technologies and design best practices.
Mentor and coach junior engineers.
Seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with visual designers, UX designers, engineers, product management, and business analysts to implement new features.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
8+ years of experience developing or architecting web application UI framework and experience in Angular 8/9/10/12/13 is required.
6+ years of experience in UI technology such as JavaScript, Angular, JQuery, HTML5 and CSS.
3+ years of experience with Typescript.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in responsive and adaptive UI design and development.
Experience in security-oriented projects and solutioning.
Experience with Angular, BackboneJS, Polymer, or other front-end frameworks.
Experience with NodeJS and related server-side concepts.
Experience with web components, micro-frontends, control/pattern libraries and tools.
Experience with state management: Flux, Redux, NGRX, and related patterns.
Experience with packaging, bundling and library management tools.
Experience with accessibility, usability and design systems.
Experience with ES6/ES7/ES8, UI middleware.
Experience developing micro-components, microservices and cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform, Amazon EC2, and Azure.
Experience with micro-services, CDNs, data caches and stores.
Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD Pipeline, GIT and other DevOps principles.
Experience with Agile development.
A problem solver who is able to move fluidly between high-level abstract thinking and detailed implementations.
Open to new ideas and approaches. Able to implement using various technologies.
A self-starter who is naturally inquisitive.
Strong in collaboration and communication.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000 - 161,600.
