Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced Configuration Manager to join our team. Our growing client delivery team needs talented people who possess strong deductive reasoning, attention to detail, persistence and patience in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting large-scale ERP implementation initiatives, including maintenance of patching and support procedures for WebSphere and JBoss based applications, as well as a background in executing software builds with development teams. The CM will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the holistic effort to support all ERP configuration items - software, file-based parameters, table-based data configuration, system performance, features and stress testing, as well as writing configuration documentation and deliverable review.

The position will involve working in a dynamic environment with team members across the US and in India to accomplish project goals. The position will involve working on multiple objectives at one time and balancing priorities.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Preparation of complete configuration plan and documentation

• Overseeing the management of configuration items

• Coordinate the harmonization of the individual ERP components

• Plan and execute configuration management throughout the lifecycle of a project

• Verification of the final configuration

• Review and update existing configuration management plans

• Work with other teams to set up of configuration management tools and help assist in the maintenance of these tools.

• Analyze issues related to configuration

• Propose solutions to any issues

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Previous experience of application level support, migration, deployment activities is preferred.

• Experience with project management

• A sound knowledge of creating and managing complex databases

• Operational knowledge of Linux, AIX, and Windows operating systems.

• Excellent communication skills, ability to understand offshore-onshore delivery model and required coordination aspects, including multitasking.

• Detail oriented, proactive, dedicated, willing to learn; offering an effective delivery in a service industry objective.

• Implement standards and processes to ensure that all CM procedures/designs are produced with proper integrity, performance, and quality.

• Product development life cycle knowledge in CM arena; e.g. release, packaging of application code, scripts/deliverables, documentation, version control etc.

• Experience of working as configuration manager in client environment is desired.

• Ability to perform tasks at client site may be required.
