Position Description:

CGI is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic DBA to join our growing team!

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for all activities related to the administration of DB2 Zos databases.

• Duties include implementing Project Team's designs into the Production environment that have been transitioned from the Project Engineering Team.

• Additionally there can be LODO type Projects that will be solely performed from beginning to end by this team.

• Main responsibilities are a Production Support Role including Performance Monitoring, Automation Opportunities, Data Security and Restoration and Resiliency positioning.

• This Production Support Role will include 24/7 support and inclusion into an on-call rotation schedule. Database monitoring as to health-check (performance, space, backups...) will be a daily responsibility and working with the customer community for any required responsive actions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Results oriented with the ability to work independently and self-manage.

• 7+ years of experience with Db2 V11/V12

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred

• Three or more years of experience in software engineering or operating systems programming • Experience working with design and coding languages

• Experience working with software design principles

• Candidate must have strong communications skills, Ability to communicate highly technical issues, approaches, etc. to functional/management and offer solutions to business problems
