Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Test Automation Architect (UFT) to help modernize the testing, integration and delivery systems for strategic and innovative government clients.

This career opportunity is located in Belton, TX, but can also be performed in Lafayette, LA or Wausau, WI or Remote!

You will be responsible for software test automation design, planning, scripting and execution using UFT-ALM Framework.

You will be someone with a software development and test automation background expertise in UFT & Mobile solutions. Ability to create, implement and enhance automation frameworks with new features and functions.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

You should have a very good understanding and experience of UFT test automation tool and frameworks. Experienced designing and implementing framework for COTS, ERP, Web based and Mobile Applications.

  1. Architect should be able to perform the Research, analyze, and assess the CMIPS Application, all testing phases, activities, tools currently being used and all other resources and factors.

  2. Create, implement and enhance the UFT keyword, data and hybrid driven framework along with ALM.

  3. Manage and support the tool installations on cloud platform.

  4. Include LOE driven timeline and phased implementation approach for each proposed design concept.

  5. Create solution to support code from both Agile and non-Agile testing.

  6. Design concepts and solution to support the below test types:

a. Functional

b. End-to-end regression

c. code merge validation

e. Test Data creation

  1. Consider all CMIPS components like the following:

a. Batch

b. Case Management

c. Business Objects / Reporting

d. Managed Advantage

e. Electronic Services Portal (ESP)

f. Others: (e.g., Help Desk, Extranet, On-Line Help, Interfaces, SAFE, etc.)

g. Test data identification and creation

  1. Identify functionality with dependencies bidirectional

  2. Identify and conduct complete traceability activities and matrices to requirements

  3. Develop framework that can be used for either Agile or non-Agile testing efforts

  4. Identify non-testable functions

  5. Identify functions that require manual testing

  6. Include data conversion and data handling processes and procedures

  7. Include all business, functional and technical requirements for selected design.

  8. Develop and follow level of effort (LOE) driven timeline and phased implementation approach

  9. Develop technical documentation and diagrams on the test automation suite architecture and tools.

  10. Provide knowledge transfer and training to all members of the CMIPS test team to use, update, modify, and maintain the test automation suite.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 5+ years in a Test Architect role

• 5+ years of experience with Micro-focus UFT

• 5+ years of experience with HP ALM

• 5+ years of hands on UFT Automated Scripting and Testing experience.

• 2+ years of experience Mobile One and Amazon Device Farm

• Must demonstrate an understanding of test automation frameworks

• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

• Experience building Test automation into CI/CD pipelines

• Experience supporting frequent incremental code testing and deployment

• Comfort with collaboration, open communication, and reaching across functional borders

• Ability to learn and understand new toolsets and products quickly
