Position Description:

CGI is seeking a technical lead to join our growing team supporting life science clients through end to end solution offerings and professional services.. The successful candidate must be able to work in a cross-functional environment and interact with representatives from CGI, and our end-clients. This technical lead will work at various CGI/ clients consulting and executing various life science business and IT initiatives pertaining to infrastructure and migration

This role can be houses out of the Eastern Time Zone. Right now its remote until further notice but will be onsite at a date to be named later in MD

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Background and Project Description

Our end client has identified approximately ten (10) R&D applications that have dependencies to the client AD Domain. There are three (3) applications that will likely need to be will require to be stood up in parallel to the existing systems in order to migrate. There are seven (7) systems that have file share dependencies to the legacy domain.

The goal is to plan for and remove the domain dependencies from as many applications as possible in 2021. For applications that require a parallel a implementation, we will need to plan and quantify the costs necessary to migrate the applications and present to management for funding approval.

• Services/Deliverables

Supplier has been engaged by our end client to provide technical planning, work with the BAU team and participate as necessary in the remediation of the 10 applications in the Domain Deliverables will include:

 Work alongside the client teams and help implement remediate the dependencies associated with the applications.

• Work with Application BAU Team(s) to discover and manage as necessary:

o Application analysis.

o Determine what is required within the application to point to the domain file shares.

o Application configuration to allow users and/or files shares continue access post migration.

o Log and report on any dependencies discovered during investigation.

• Knowledge in Active Directory and Permissions.

o Able to investigate existing file share and replicate as needed in Domain.

o Address needs of Medi domain users to access applications and file shares in the domain. (access, etc.)

• Work with the Storage Team on strategy to migrate each storage share. (identify, Rename, Move or Copy as necessary).

• Understanding of DNS and DFS

• Knowledge of Lab Informatics applications like Empower and OpenLab would be a plus.

• Manage the technically delivery and ensure it meets project objectives.

• Engage client resources as necessary to deliver the desired result.

• Participate in other related IT activities as requested by Project Sponsor
