Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a Database Administrator to assist with developing applications/reports/dashboards to extract disability and beneficiary data required to generate mandatory, high priority, and discretionary reports for Congress, Commissioner, Operations, and the Disability Determination Services.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate database tables, schemas, indexes, stored procedures utilizing SQL through the SDLC via waterfall or agile; working with application developers to accurately extract data from the DB2, Oracle, SQL server, and PostgreSQL for creating MI reports.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Master's degree with 3+ years of experience or Bachelor's degree with 7+ years

• Experienced with relational databases including MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL/Greenplum a huge plus; extracting data from Oracle and DB2 may also be required.

• Experience with SSA’s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) is highly desired.

• Experience migrating existing data to EDW and developing appropriate plans to make such happen.

• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.

• Must be able to communicate clearly with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, testers and other team members.

• Ability to work independently, conduct research, and present findings

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to write formal reports
