We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior BI/Reporting Lead to support strategic program delivery. The BI/Reporting Lead is an accomplished technical expert, proactive customer-focused advocate, a team player with Business Intelligence and project management experience.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible to understand and communicate stakeholder requirements to appropriate team members and manage all requirements accordingly.

• Establish clear ownership for project tasks; Ensure that team members have the tools needed and provide timely feedback.

• Work collaboratively with members to maintain thorough knowledge of statement of work, scope of work, product capabilities, and to ensure that all communications between project manager and other members are precise.

• Develop and maintain a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

• Manage changes to the project scope and project schedules

• Generate weekly/monthly status reports

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior consultants in best practices in Business Intelligence

•Engage with business stakeholders to analyze business processes, gather requirements, and recommend technical solutions.

• Provide Business Intelligence and strategic planning subject matter expertise on key client engagements

• Develop and deliver comprehensive technical solutions and the supporting infrastructure across a range of business sectors

• Design, develop and document the data model, associated metrics and information delivery model

• Provide guidance on data governance, data quality and master data management best practices. Establish and enforce relevant corporate policies and empower teams to become a Centre of Excellence for data governance and data management

• Develop plans for optimising the BI platforms by determining how best to use existing data analytics, architecture, and technology, and where to make improvements

• Be an enthusiastic and motivated pioneer, influencer and team builder

• Participate in the pre-sales activities including regularly scheduled client meetings to augment and support the business in all aspects of BI Architecture

• Work with strategic client account teams to build senior level relationships and represent the breadth of CGI’s BI capabilities

• Help up skill CGI members who have an interest in developing their capabilities in BI and data analytics.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Exceptional consulting skills, comfortable with senior stakeholder engagement and effective in influencing and building productive relationships with executive level management, clients, senior management, industry providers, vendors and stakeholders

• Ability to demonstrate strong examples of ownership, delivery focus and responsibility

• A strong commercial understanding to facilitate client discussions (e.g. business value etc.)

• The ability to craft a compelling vision and then carry it out in a well-developed strategy.

• Advanced knowledge of BI architecture concepts and tools, including data architecture, data modeling, ETL tools (Pentaho, Talend, Informatica, etc), and reporting platforms.

• Experience with data and reports migration

• Experience with data warehousing and dimensional modelling

• Experience managing front-end BI tools and building reports

• Strong knowledge of BI platforms, and demonstrated ability to implement business intelligence

• Experienced in managing large data sets of multiple sources including managing the design, development and implementation of an information system.

• The skills to assess, manage, and optimize the design and delivery of data warehousing

• Strong conceptual knowledge of data warehousing, BI systems and processes, and ETL

(extract, transform, load).

• Certification in related data technologies or tools is desirable.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ten (10) years of relevant experience, including at least three (3) years as a BI Project Manager.

• Excellent oral and written communication capabilities and techniques (working side-by-side with government counterparts).

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

• SAFe® Certification, Scrum Alliance CSM, or other agile certification
